After a hiatus, I am very excited to get back to the people of Vietnam. This is my fourth medical mission to Vietnam, but I have participated in all the previous medical missions by helping on the homefront.
Taking part with this group to help someone in great need is an intensely moving experience. The plan for me during this medical mission is to help with packing of supplies, organizing supplies and instrumentation once there, working as a circulating nurse in the operating room, compiling post-operative medications with instructions, and assisting during post-operative rounds.
Every year transpires into a new adventure in learning and changing the way we implement our medical mission. I am ready and impassioned.
