First Lady of Angola Visits Medical Mission

First Lady of Angola, Ana Dias Lourenço, joins IEP's Dr. Bruce Lehnert on patient rounds.

Today, we received a visit from the First Lady of Angola, Ana Dias Lourenço, who sponsored our mission here.

The First Lady joined us on our rounds to check on our post-operative patients, where she handed out certificates of bravery to the children. It was amazing to see their eyes light up with the ROYAL attention.
Patients received a "Diploma de Bravura"
for their bravery in the hospital.

Afterward, we had a press conference with standing-room only. The IEP team and our Angolan partners received recognition and certificates for our work here in Angola. The First Lady reviewed the history of IEP and thanked us for our work in Vietnam, Namibia, and now, Angola.

Pictured with the First Lady of Angola, Ana Dias Lourenço, are members of the IEP team and Dr. Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun of the United Africa Group.

It was a great day in the history of the International Extremity Project. We are humbled and thankful for this opportunity!
