Jen Levy is a neonatologist joining the International Extremity Project for the medical mission in Angola.
"I am honored and excited to participate in IEP this summer," she says. "As a neonatologist and pediatrician, I love working with children and their families. I find medical mission work to be challenging but extremely rewarding."
Jen has been going daily to the maternity hospital in Luanda to consult with the medical teams on ways improve patient care and outcomes. She is giving a lecture on the use of caffeine in neonates to improve lungs and cardiac outcomes in premature infants.

Jen has been an incredible resource for the Angolan neonatal team and has helped recommend some key practices that can help them improve neonatal outcomes.
