Princess Ashi Kesang Choden Wangchuck of Bhutan has invited the International Extremity Project to come to Bhutan! The IEP team is honored by the opportunity and proud to extend its impact to the remote Himalayan country of Bhutan.

In December 2025, the team will bring its expertise to children and young adults suffering from lower extremity deformities and disorders. This year’s mission is set to be IEP’s most ambitious yet.

In addition to our dedicated team of surgeons and nurses, we are introducing a reconstructive plastic surgeon to enhance lower extremity corrections involving skin and muscle deficits, as well as perform complex hand surgeries. Further expanding our scope, IEP member Logan Lehnert is leading the introduction of a dental component to provide critical oral health care.

With this expanded mission, we are actively strengthening our instrument inventory and rallying charitable support to ensure its success, bringing life-changing care to those in need.
